From aircraft plans to a financing conversation
Start before every detail is final
You can request a financing conversation while researching aircraft. Describe the expected purchase price, available down payment, intended use, timing and California connection. If the aircraft is not selected, say so. A clear description of the mission is more useful than a guessed tail number.
Separate preparation from a lender decision
An introductory review helps organize the next steps. A lender may need financial statements, tax returns, liquidity evidence and aircraft records through a secure channel. The initial website request does not authorize a credit pull and does not produce an approval. Any conditional indication should be read for its actual conditions, scope and expiry.
Coordinate the transaction team
Keep the lender, escrow provider, aviation attorney, tax adviser, inspection provider, insurer and operator aligned on the same aircraft and timeline. Assign each open condition an owner and completion date. Avoid treating financing readiness as proof that the aircraft is technically acceptable or that a tax position is established.
Close against confirmed conditions
Before funds move, reconcile the final price, financing documents, title and lien requirements, insurance, delivery acceptance and cash needed. Preserve the completed closing package and continue keeping the operating records that support ownership and tax obligations.
